Being the second most visited attraction in the city, the Bird Park of Foz do Iguaçu is an integrated conservation center for species of the Atlantic Forest where birds rescued mainly by mistreatment and animal trafficking, receive refuge so that they can recover! Birds in danger of extinction are also received by the park which, with the assistance of trained professionals, work for breeding and conservation of endangered species.

Currently the Bird Park has more than 1400 birds of more than 150 species, 54% of which are rescued from maltreatment and animal trafficking, in addition to 35% that were born in the park itself! They all inhabit the fascinating 16 hectares of restored Atlantic Forest within the park.

The nurseries, the biggest attractions of the bird park, are both observation and immersion! With them it is possible to stay close to birds like toucans, herons, macaws, parrots, flamingos, owls besides watching reptiles such as alligators, turtles, iguanas, sucuris and even jiboias! The park also has a butterfly garden where you can meet some species of butterflies, hummingbirds and even a tarantula! Having the world's largest macaw flying nursery, the Bird Park of Foz is sure to surprise you with almost 100 macaws flying overhead and enjoying your freedom close to you!

Conventional Ride

The cost of the entrance of the Park of the Birds for the conventional tour, currently costs per person R $ 45 reais for both Brazilians and foreigners, residents of Foz and students receive a discount on entry. With the tour it is possible to tread the 1,5km course of flat sidewalks freely while enjoying and observing the nurseries.

Average length of tour: Between 1h and 3hrs.

Backstage Experience

The Park also offers two special tours, the first of which is the Backstage Experience where you can know how the park works and how the work of recovery and conservation of birds is done. The tour happens while the park is still closed to the general public, providing the privileged opportunity to feed flamingos and toucans as well as meet endangered animals!

The ticket price is R $ 200 per person.

Forest Experience

Another excursion carried out by the Bird Park is the Forest Experience where it is possible to know more closely the inhabitants of the native Indian tribe of South America, the Mbya Guaranis. Taking place in the middle of the Atlantic Forest of the Bird Park, in the village Jacy Porã, the project seeks to give visibility and respect to the Guarani tribe!
