Foz do Iguaçu airport to adopt facial recognition of people

Since this Wednesday (10), the International Airport of Foz do Iguaçu - Paraná, has a new system of surveillance through facial recognition, this will assist in the identification of suspects and even wanted by Interpol.

Without this tool, random identification depends solely on the experience of police officers and agents, making this task much more difficult and with great room for failure.

This system uses logarithms to identify face geometry through a combination of unique proportions and traits of each person, also analyzes facial expressions and helps identify potential passengers who present potential risks of practicing irregularities, as well as detecting people that for some reason are disguised or have changed their appearance.

Identifying a suspect, the passenger is called to undergo an inspection.

This will make Foz do Iguaçu Airport much safer, and will give passengers more peace of mind.

In total, will be 14 airports in Brazil that should receive the facial identification system.

See the list of airports that will receive this technology:

Int Airport of Foz do Iguaçu- Cataratas - PR
